After coming across Atlantis The Royal on random Instagram posts, I was captivated by its stunning architectural design and the breathtaking view from its infinity pool. Intrigued by what I saw, I was eager to experience a stay at this remarkable hotel, so I decided to book a two-night stay in September 2023 to celebrate my birthday. While the price wasn’t cheap, I must say, it was absolutely worth every penny.
First Impressions of the Hotel

My first impression of the hotel exceeded my expectations. The building’s design was even more stunning in person than what I had seen on social media, and the lobby was beautifully decorated with luxurious touches. The service was also fantastic, adding to the overall wonderful experience.
The Lost Chambers Aquarium

While waiting for our room to be ready, as we arrived earlier than the expected check-in time, my partner and I took advantage of the complimentary shuttle service in a luxurious Mercedes van to Atlantis, The Palm. We explored The Lost Chambers Aquarium, which is also free for hotel guests. As someone who isn’t a huge fan of aquariums, I was blown away by the experience. The aquarium was decorated to an incredible level, and its sheer scale was impressive. I highly recommend everyone to visit this aquarium, as it truly exceeded my expectations.
Room Tour – Seascape King

After about half an hour, we received a call from the hotel informing us that our room was ready. Excited, we made our way back to Atlantis The Royal. However, we found it a bit confusing to locate the elevator that would take us to our room. Given the hotel’s vast size, we felt a bit lost for a while but eventually approached a staff member who kindly guided us to the right elevator.
Upon entering the room, my immediate reaction was “wow,” as it appeared even more spacious than it did in the photos on the website. The room felt like a suite, adorned with luxurious furniture and carpets. The amenities provided were from Graff – a surprising touch. What caught my eye were the gold-colored toothbrushes, comb, shaver, and bath brush. Even the in-room slippers were thick and comfy, exuding luxury, and there was even a mini sticky roller in the closet, a thoughtful addition.
Infinity Pool – Cloud 22

We made our way to Cloud 22, the iconic and exclusive infinity pool accessible only to hotel guests. With a minimum charge requirement, we ordered a bottle of wine and a plate of oysters to enjoy while taking in the stunning view of Palm Jumeirah from the infinity pool. The beach club vibes and luxurious decor added to the overall delightful experience of swimming in the pool.
Turndown / Housekeeping Service

Upon returning from dinner, we were pleasantly surprised to find a little cake prepared by the hotel. Thanks to the hotel, we received this delightful treat twice during our two-night stay. And the room was impeccably organized, with the housekeeping team going above and beyond, even folding our clothes and neatly organizing cables with ties. It was truly the most detailed and attentive housekeeping service I’ve ever experienced.
Breakfast – Gastronomy

If someone were to ask me about the most memorable experience at Atlantis The Royal, I would definitely say it was the breakfast. Normally, I don’t prioritize breakfast or include it when booking a hotel, but I wanted to experience breakfast at Atlantis The Royal and see what it was like. It was absolutely incredible – the most luxurious hotel breakfast I’ve ever had with a wide array of options to choose from. Both my partner and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the restaurant and the variety of food available. I felt an overwhelming sense of happiness just walking around the buffet. This is definitely one of the reasons why I would choose to stay at this hotel again when I visit Dubai in the future.
Aquaventure Waterpark

After breakfast, we headed to Aquaventure Waterpark, which is complimentary for hotel guests. While it was a walkable distance, you can also take a shuttle to get there. The waterpark offers a variety of rides and activities, but be prepared to get soaked! It’s advisable to wear swimwear and keep your clothes and belongings in a locker. Additionally, leave your shoes in the locker too and grab aqua shoes for free from the information center. The ground can get extremely hot, so wearing aqua shoes is essential to avoid burning your feet.
After experiencing one ride, we realized that the wait times were too long. To expedite our experience and avoid lengthy queues, we decided to purchase an additional express pass. All our expenses were conveniently charged directly to our room, allowing us to enjoy a wallet-free experience. The waterpark is huge, requiring a lot of walking and climbing stairs. After a few hours, we felt exhausted in the hot weather, but the overall experience was incredibly fun and thrilling.
